Anthony “Tony” Todd has been a member of the Grand Strand Association for 36 years. He has bowled in 25 state tournament, 16 match game tournaments and 2 national tournaments. He has bowled in 30 local tournament and 20 local match game tournaments. He won the 2010 SC Match game tournament in Charleston and won the scratch all-events in 2010. He has won 6 local match game titles. He has maintained an average over 205 since 1989. He has 41 – 300 games, 17 – 800 series and over 300 – 700 or higher series. His highest game is a 300 and highest series is a 846 with a 234 as his highest average. Tony has a quiet, reserved personality. He prefers to avoid confrontation but he will stand up for his beliefs. He is very organized and has been a great organizer and supporter of leagues, tournaments and other bowling activities. Tony dedication to bowling is unquestioned and he never fails to live up to his commitments.
Tony is presently the general manager at Surfside Bowling Center. He as inducted into the Grand Strand Bowling Hall of Fame in February 2004. He has devoted servearl years to the Youth Bowling Programs.
Again we congratulate Tony on being inducted into the South Carolina Hall of Fame under Bowling Achievement in the 2011-2012 bowling season.
