Harold retired from the Army in 1960 and moved to Seneca, SC, where he was manager of Clemson Lanes until they closed in 1961. He then started bowling at Timber Lanes (now Oconee Lanes). Harold served as a Director on the Oconee County Bowling Association for 2 years, until he moved to Easley, SC. After moving to Easley he helped form the Pickens County Bowling Association, serving as Director, Vice President and President. Harold carried high average for Pickens County for 7 years.
Since inception of the State Seniors Tournament Harold has participated every year, winning 4 times, twice in Division A and once in Division B and C.
Harold is a member of the Pickens County Bowling Association Hall of Fame, and is also a Life Member. At age 82 Harold still bowls in 2 leagues and maintains a 184 average.

Easley
Harold Rudolph Price, 86, of 304 Henry St., died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Palmetto Health Baptist.
Mr. Price was a native of Stanton, Va., a son of the late Luther Ashby and Minnie Stoneberger Price. He was a retired Master Sergeant, having served for 22 years in the U.S. Army, having participated in the Normandy Invasion, and having served in the 2nd Armor Division with General Patton also in the 82nd Airborne. He also served in the Korean Conflict. He was also a retired employee of the Research and Development Department of Singer in Pickens. He was a member of the MOOSE Lodge 2219, and was a member of the Pickens and South Carolina Bowling Hall of Fame.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel Reese Price of the home; three sons, Harold D. Price of Munhall, Pa., L. Stewart Price and his wife, Carolyn, of Easley, and Bruce D. Price and his wife, Laurie, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a stepson, Charles T. Childress and his wife, Smokey, of Piedmont; a stepdaughter, Linda C. Williams of Gaffney; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Sally LaRue Dean Price.
Graveside services with full military rites will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home of son Stewart Price, 102 Allison Court, Easley, SC 29642.
