From the Annual Meeting Minutes of the SCWBA on 5-20-1978, Virginia Mosher introduced Mrs. “Kookie” Smith as the 1978 SCWBA inductee into the Hall of Fame for Bowling Achievement. Introduced also was Mrs. Smith’s husband in attendance for this honor. Miss Mosher then reviewed the accomplishments of Mrs. Smith and presented her with the Hall of Fame Awards. She then recognized Mrs. Sallie Heiser, Charleston WBA President, who presented Mrs. Smith with a gift from the Charleston WBA and extended their congratulations. “Kookie” had the State High Average of 184 in 1974 and State High Series of 696 in 1965.
