From Frances Clayton: Mary Hinton was a dedicated worker and coach for 15 years. She served along with her husband Charlie “Bud” Hinton who served as the President for many years. They spent many hours on Saturday encouraging and teaching their youth bowlers. She worked the Youth State Tournament and the last time it was in Easley in 1974-75 at Tri-City Lanes. This was the last time our tournament has been held in a 20 lane center and our entries were 215 Teams (5-man), 530 Doubles and 1,060 Singles. She was a member of the Sundowners league and the Pinette league at Tri-City Lanes in Easley. She served as a director of Pickens County WBA for several years.
She died in May 1994 and is survived by her husband, two daughters and four grandchildren.
