Please note the two messages below from the SCUSBC President Debby Kicklighter. One is about the Pepsi Tournament being postponed and the second is about future events.

Pepsi Youth Bowlers and Parents
I would like to offer my apologies for such short notice on the postponement of the South Carolina Pepsi Youth Championship. Over the past several days, there has been much discussion as to whether to have the tournament or not. Tina Brown, Tournament Director and Sandy Wallace, Youth Tournament Director have worked hard trying to prepare for the tournament. Kay Mitterling, Association Manager and I have watched news reports and I continued monitoring the coronavirus in the Greenville area.
Today, as we were on our way to Greenville, I received telephone calls about the Governor’s address and the President’s address. I thought the best thing to do was to postpone the Pepsi Tournament.
After the decision was made, USBC posted “USBC recommends USBC state and local associations postpone or suspend mass gathering events, meetings and travel in the best interest of public health. USBC Also recommends associations be proactive in considering the wellbeing of their members.”
My concern today was for the bowlers, parents, tournament workers and center employees.
Tina is currently working on rescheduling.
Again, I offer my apologies.

UPDATE ON SCUSBC TOURNAMENTS
The SCUSBC Open and Ladies Tournaments will be held as scheduled.
The annual meeting will be held at The Elks Lodge. The address is 7700 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29625. There will be coffee and doughnuts served.
The host hotel is the Courtyard by Marriott located at 115 The Parkway, Greenville, SC 29615. The telephone number is 864/213-9009. Reservations should be made by May 5thunder SC Trios.
The SCUSBC Youth Tournament will also be held as scheduled.
We are planning for the above events to be conducted as scheduled, however, circumstances with the Coronavirus may require us to change our plans. The SCUSBC will continue to monitor the current situation. Please know that your health and well-being are of the utmost importance.
