Scott Faile was inducted by Mike Espy

Scott was born in Rock Hill South Carolina. He Graduated from Rock Hill High School then York Technical College with a degree in Machine Tool Technology. He has been a Machinist for over 35 years. He currently is employed by Bosch Rexroth in Charlotte North Carolina. Scott is a Bronze certified coach and volunteers with the Strikers Youth League in Rock Hill South Carolina. He has been a Board member of the USBC Tri-County Association since 2016, and currently serves as President. Scott’s parents are Roland E. and Mildred H. Faile. His father was an avid bowler before a back surgery ended his ability to continue bowling. Scott’s mother also bowled until she decided to stay home and raise her sons instead. Bowling is a sport that brought Scott and his wife Rachel together. They bowled in leagues while dating and have continued bowling together for over 35 years of marriage. They have two sons that make them proud parents every day. Scott’s father did introduce him to the great sport of bowling, but his childhood friends taught him to be competitive. Scott says,“Bowling has taught me a lot about people and life in general. I have made many long-term friendships with quality people and for all these things I am so blessed and grateful”. Since 2003 Scott has bowled 40 sanctioned 300 games and 29 sanctioned 800 series with the ABC/USBC. In the 2014-2015 season, he held the SCUSBC High Average at 247. In November 2022, at the South Carolina Senior State Tournament, Scott won All Events in his division and won the opportunity to bowl in the National Senior Tournament in 2023 held at Ashwaubenon Lanes in Green Bay Wisconsin. Scott would like to accept this award not only for himself but also on behalf of all his family and friends in his bowling family that helped him along the way.
