Billy Sewell

Billy Sewell was inducted by Terry Clark

Billy was born on December 15, 1962 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He has been married to Christine L Sewell for the last 24 years with three children.

Billy initially started bowling in 1982 in the Army. After his enlistment, he started bowling with his dad, Arling Sewell, at Pinewood Lanes. Since then, he has bowled on two or more leagues for the last 40 years. Billy scored his first 700 series on March 17, 1986 prior to all the new advancements you see today. He has had five – 800 series, twenty – 300 games, three – 299 games, and six – eleven in a row that are accounted for. He finished first in the South Carolina State Tournament Doubles in 2017 and has bowled in several National ABC and now USBC Tournaments

Billy was inducted into the Spartanburg USBC Hall of Fame with his dad in 2009. He has also coached youth for several years at Paradise Lanes encouraging the youth to continue the sport.
