Joyce Freeman has been a member of the Grand Strand for 27 years. Joyce has bowled from four to six leagues a year since 1999. Within that time, she has carried a 185 plus average, the highest being 208. She has had ten-700 plus series throughout her bowling career and won the South Carolina High Series for Women in 2007-2008. She faithfully bowls in local and state tournaments each season. In the Grand Strand, Joyce was named Bowler of the Year in 2005-2006. As Senior Bowler of the Year, she took honors for several seasons. Joyce was inducted into the Grand Strand Hall of Fame in the Bowling Achievement category in 2009. She has achieved many awards and her sportsmanship is encouraging to others.
