Information provided by Steve O’Brien – Jack Stiegelmeyer was a very dedicated, longtime volunteer for the sport of bowling, giving his time at many levels for the sport. He was a past President and Hall of Fame member for the Greater Charleston (S.C.) Bowling Association, a past President and Hall of Fame member for the South Carolina State Bowling Association, and a past President and Hall of Fame member for the Southeast Bowling Association. Jack was very well liked, and was a tireless worker for the sport at every level. He was instrumental in bringing the SBA Tournament back to Charleston in 2003, because it had been 32 years since the tournament had been there. Jack always believed in doing what was best for our bowlers, and even after serving his time as a voting member, he continued to attend association meetings and jamborees to offer his advice and opinions. He is greatly missed by all.
