Sandy has been bowling since she was 8 years old. She was a youth bowler for 10 years and an adult for 22 years. She is still working with the youth as a head coach for the Gaffney USBC Association. When she was a youth bowler she served as Secretary of the league and severed on the State Board. Sandy has always been at the bowling center before she started bowling as her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Gantenbein worked with the youth program for many years in the Gaffney and on the State Level.
Sandy is very involved with the youth program and has one of the largest programs and most active in the area. Other coaches are always asking Sandy how does she keep her programs going . She will always help others and always has a great smile. Sandy loves the sport of bowling and she works very hard with the youth program. She works to help every graduating senior receive a scholarship. She is very dedicated to the bowlers and the sport of bowling.
We congratulate Sandy on being inducted into the South Carolina USBC Hall of Fame for 2007 in the Youth Category.
