Teresa Holmes

Teresa Holmes started bowling at age ten.  She moved to South Carolina in 1991 and has bowled in the Grand Strand Association ever since.  She has bowled in the Grand Strand Tournament every year and has won each of the four events at least once.  She was the first woman to bowl 700 Series in the City Tournament.  Teresa has bowled in 2 Team USA trials and had a top finish of 32nd place.  She has won Grand Strand Bowler of the Year six years in a row.  Teresa currently holds the record high series of 791 for the Grand Strand.  She was the South Carolina Amateur Champion in 1995 & 1996.  Teresa has bowled 2-300 games, 50-75 games over 250 games, 75-100 series over 700 and has averaged over 185 since 1991.  Teresa is an outstanding teacher for gifted and talented children.  She is a fierce competitor and an outstanding teammate.  Teresa has served in all league positions over the years.  Teresa has served as a Youth Coach for many years and she served on the local association Board of Directors for seven years.  She opened a Pro Shop which is run by her family.  Teresa became a Hall of Fame member for the Grand Strand in 2014.  Congratulations Teresa for being inducted into the South Carolina Hall of Fame under the Bowling Achievement category.
