Homer Gaudig

Homer began coaching in 1970 at Sumter Gamecock Lanes and continued for 10 years.  He was certified twice during those 10 years.

 

He served on the Board of Directors and held the position of Vice President for the Junior Program.  He was also on the State board for South Carolina serving as the Director of the Entertainment Committee.  While coaching at Sumter Gamecock Lanes, he helped to set up the Junior Bowling Program at Shaw AFB.

 

Homer coached for 12 years at Shaw AFB and served on the Board of Directors as a coach member.  His whole family was involved in the bowling programs.  Wife, Addie, was a certified coach instructor; daughter, Kathy, was a Junior Leader for the bowling center and President on the State Board.  Son, Greg, was also a junior leader.  Homer also worked on Shaw AFB with the Little League Baseball Program as a coach, manager and served on the Board of Directors for 7 years while also working with the bowling program.
