Shirley Teague

Shirley has been a member of the bowling state association for over 26 years.  She has served on the local level in the Grand Strand USBC as 3rd Vice President and has served on all committees.  She has bowled in her local and state tournament for over 26 years.  She has served as a delegate to the state convention 15 times.  Shirley was instrumental in forming the Grand Strand Secretary of the year and bowler of the month programs.  She is constantly encouraging others to join leagues, she puts together teams to bowl in both the local and state tournaments and talks about bowling and it’s history to anyone who will listen.  She was inducted into the Grand Strand Hall of Fame in 1998.  Shirley is well known and very much respected by our Grand Strand bowlers, as well as those on the state level that she has come to know.  She is always willing to do whatever is asked of her and she does it well.  She is very dedicated to “Her” sport, having bowled since 1951, that’s 58 years.  She has always shown good sportsmanship and integrity.  She is also a fun and loving person who loves the sport of bowling.  Again, we congratulate Shirley on her induction into the South Carolina Hall of Fame in the Pioneer Category for the 2010-2011 year.
