Jim Shook

Jim has been bowling for over 31 years.  He has won the local tournament many times and has bowled in over 30 state tournaments.  He has won the state scratch titles in singles, doubles and all events.  In 1971 Jim was the first bowler to average 200 in the Spartanburg Association.  He is a past bowler of the year.  In a 5 person leagues the team he bowled with had a high series of 3222.  He has been runner up in the State Match game tournament.  Jim was also a PBA Southern Region member for 8 years and he bowled in several 250 masters.  Jim has had over 25 250-298 games, over 10 700 series.  He has had an average over 200 for 8 years.  His high game is 298, high series 757.  Jim was very involved in bowling promotion on a local level.  He served as President of the local youth association and he is a certified instructor for youth bowling.  He helped promote the local youth and adult tournaments.  Jim was a very dedicated bowler and administrator.  He was always dependable and well respected by his teammates or opponents.  Again, we congratulate Jim on his induction into the South Carolina Hall of Fame in the Bowling Achievement Category for the 2010-2011 year.
