Dennis Lane, Sr.

Dennis Lane, Sr. inducted by Hall of Fame member Sandy Wallace

DennisLaneSr. loved bowling on Thursday nights in the “big money” league as he called it. When his oldest daughter, Corrie, was 10 years old, he signed her up for Youth Bowling on Saturday mornings at All Star Lanes in Florence, SC. He wanted to see if he had what it took to travel around the state before
he signed the two littles up. The next year Dennis Jr. was 5 years old and Kayla was 3 years old and they started bowling. Corrie then took on the All-Stars team and Dennis Sr became
hooked. In the following years, he had all of his kids on the All-Stars team. He started coaching and this is when he got his nickname “Coach” to many of people. His bowling family grew and grew.

Even when his biological kids aged out of All-Stars, Dennis Sr. stayed and continued to Coach as well as being a Director for the local association. Being a coach was his passion. After
every practice and every tournament, he would talk with his kids and Scott about the events and just how proud he was that the girls listened to him. He always said, I don’t know it all, but I do
know a little bit.

Dennis Sr. left this world on December 4th, 2022. He is missed dearly by his family and the bowling community. When he left
this world, he left behind a legacy that will live on forever.
